Mindfulness-based stress reduction is intended to ignite your inner sense of health and wellbeing and infuse your life with awareness.

 

This highly participatory, practical course includes:

·                       Guided instruction in developing mindfulness meditation practices

·                       Gentle stretching and mindful yoga

·                       Group dialogue and mindful communication exercises to enhance awareness in everyday life

·                       Individually tailored instruction

·                       Daily home assignments; and

·                       Home practice materials including guided mindfulness practice CD’s and a workbook

 

Venue and time Eight x 2 hour sessions each Thursday 7pm-9pm 11 April – 30 May 2013 and 1 x full day of training on 19 May all at Pa Maria, 78, Hobson Street, Thorndon, Wellington

Stephen Archer is a mindfulness educator who trained for 13 years as an ordained Buddhist monk in the Thai forest tradition. Stephen facilitates mindfulness programmes in Primary Health Care and workplaces. Lucy Schwabe is a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction trainer with over ten years experience incorporating mindfulness-based practises in her work with individuals and groups. She is working in private practice, offers clinical supervision at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and is a mental health services provider for Compass Health and Well Health Trust.
