The 5 Step Manaka protocol is a powerful treatment tool effective for a wide range of musculoskeletal and internal organ pathologies. The Introductory weekend will introduce basic Steps 1-4. The following 3 weekends will further develop the work, allow for practice and greater mastery of techniques, introducing alternative options for each step.
Weekend 1 May 14-15
• Hara (abdominal) palpation to identify Hara patterns for diagnosis
• Manaka treatment protocol ( Steps 1 – 4 ) - Balance Yin using Ion Pumping Cords /Balance Yang/ Musculoskeletal adjustment (Sotai to address muscle imbalances),Symptomatic treatment using intradermals
Weekend 2 June 11-12
• Alternative treatments for Steps 1 and 2 i.e.: Balance Yin / Balance Yang
• Moxa techniques –direct moxa, cone moxa, needle head.
• Specialized symptomatic treatments using moxa – Digestive, Gynecology, Arthritis, Acute and chronic strains
• Manaka hammer-for symptomatic treatments
Weekend 3 August 6-7
• Whiplash and hepatitis treatments, polar pairs, open points
• Pain, numbness, burns and scar treatments with IPC
Weekend 4 November 12-13
• Home therapies introduced-sotai exercises, tiger warmer, dietary advise
• Bloodletting and cupping

Course Fee: $475.00 - per weekend, $1800.00 for full program Student Fee: $425.00 -per weekend
Venue: NZ School of Acupuncture-Level 10, 57 Willis Street, CBD, Wellington
Saturdays 9-5pm (Registrations 8.30), Sundays 9-4:30pm
