Scalp Acupuncture Seminars
Final Opportunity to Learn from Professor Zhu
This series will be the only opportunity to learn directly from the founder of Zhu Scalp Acupuncture Professor Zhu himself as he will not be teaching further seminars in Australia or the United States after these courses.
Prof. Zhu
Born in Shanghai China in 1940, Prof. Zhu graduated in the first class of Acupuncture from the Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine in 1964.
For over 50 years Prof. Zhu has been continually treating patients and lecturing all over the world.
Prof. Zhu was recognised very early as a seasoned doctor because of the quality of the results he achieved.
His reputation has grown dramatically since the demonstration of his innovative Acupuncture technique on a hemiplegic stroke patient at the 1st international conference of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Beijing 1987, where the patient was able to stand and ambulate without support.
As a result of his success he has received many formal accolades and international acclaim.
In his tireless career he has also served as director or assistant director in many associations, hospitals, institutes and colleges.
Dr James Lu
Dr Lu is a direct disciple of Dr Zhu and a director of Zhu’s Neuro Acupuncture & Rehabilitation Centre.
During his 20 years of clinical experience Dr Lu has worked primarily in orthopaedics, stroke rehabilitation, balance/vestibular disorders and pain management.
He has been certified as an orthopaedic specialist since 2004 by the American Board of Physiotherapy and has extensive training in post-stroke and neurological impairment conditions.
He also holds a doctorate in physiotherapy from the University of St Augustine and a Master’s of Science from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Dr Lu has been following Dr Zhu since 2011, and in the same year pioneered the first Acupuncture outpatient program at the Hospital Corporation of America.
This has since been extended to include pre and postoperative ICU cardiac patients.
Dr Lu has dedicated his career to the integrative approach since observing how the combination of Acupuncture and rehabilitation maximized the potential for patient recovery.
