The Luo Channels are an exquisite system of reservoirs that allow the body to hold unexpressed emotions within the blood. Each Luo vessel branches from its primary
channel, and when these reservoirs become full, they rise toward the surface. They may reveal themselves as visible lines, discolourations, spider veins, or nodules.

When they appear like this, the body is quite literally showing us where to work. It offers a direct invitation to address the exact places where treatment is needed. As
Huang Di says: “The channels that can be seen are all the Luo channels.” (Ling Shu, Chapter 10.)

Every primary channel, with its relationship to its corresponding organ, gives us the capacity to experience and express the full spectrum of human emotion. It is remarkable
that the body donates its Jing and Yuan Qi to the organs so that we can live emotionally rich and diverse lives. It is written into the human design. Releasing the Luo point allows the Luo pathway to regain its emotional resiliency and restore the innate emotional expression of each organ—the very qualities that define us as human beings.

In this workshop, we will explore:
• The emotional and psychological landscape of each of the twelve primary
channels
• The classical theory of the Luo point as an Antique point
• Diagnosis through visible observation, including the appearance of the vessels
• Psychological and linguistic cues that reveal Luo involvement
• Hands-on practice of Luo blood-releasing techniques with guidance and support

There will be ample time to practise on each other so that, come Monday, you return to clinic feeling confident in applying this work.
Saturday will focus primarily on theory, with two live patient demonstrations in the late afternoon. Sunday will include additional demonstration if needed, the remainder of the day is dedicated to guided practice on each other. I look forward to spending a rich and insightful weekend with you.

About your Instructor:
Ada Sobieszczuk is an acupuncturist with a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Middlesex University, London, and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Early
in her training, she was drawn to the Classical texts. A formative moment came when she attended a workshop with Master Jeffrey Yuen, where she encountered complex
Western medical theory expressed through the elegant simplicity of the Classical lens. Although the language was unfamiliar at the time, she recognised its coherence and
depth.

The publication of Ann Cecil-Sterman’s Advanced Acupuncture: A Clinical Manual later provided the language and clinical framework through which Ada could fully understand and apply these teachings. This lineage shaped her approach to medicine as a way of seeing through multiple lenses at once — like light moving through a prism — allowing different perspectives to coexist and inform clinical practice.

Integrating the Luo Channels into her practice transformed the way Ada works. It allowed her to address any condition with an emotional component — to recognise blocks to the expression of human nature as they manifest in the body. In clinical practice, Ada witnesses how releasing the Luo points brings people freedom in their human experience, and she is excited to teach you to do the same.

About the Series
This weekend is the second in a four-part training series exploring the Complement Channels – the Sinews, Luo, Divergents and the Extraordinary Vessels.
Together, these channels form the complete system beyond the Primary channels, offering a clear and effective way to understand and treat every person who walks through your door. Taken together, they create a coherent, comprehensive map for clinical work.
