Students enrolled in a full time course of study in Acupuncture and/or Chinese Medicine are able to join Acupuncture NZ as student members. There is no fee for this and student members can attend seminars, study groups and regional meetings. Student members will also receive the monthly Acupuncture NZ newsletter and will be informed of any workshops or seminars that may be of interest. If a small bond is paid, student members are entitled to make full use of the Acupuncture NZ library facilities.

The New Zealand School of Acupuncture and TCM (NZSATCM)
Graduates from the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and TCM who have completed the 4 year Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) are able to join Acupuncture NZ upon graduation.
The New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine (NZCCM)

Graduates from the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine who have completed the four year Bachelor of Health Science major in Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine) are able to join Acupuncture NZ upon graduation.
Graduates from the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine who have completed the three year Bachelor of Health Science major in Acupuncture are required to complete a practical assessment for clinical competence to join Acupuncture NZ.
Acupuncture NZ does not recognise graduates of primary qualifying TCM programs undertaken by correspondence or distance education mode, nor does Acupuncture NZ recognise graduates of short courses.
