The New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists is governed by the NZRA Council. The Council is made up of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and member representatives from throughout the different regions of the country. The four Office Bearers are elected by the members every two years whilst the Regional Representatives are elected annually. The current Council is as follows:

Midlands Region:    Kim Chenery (Napier)
Central Region:       Jane Anderson (Wellington)
Southern Region:     Angela Thomas (Christchurch)

In accordance with the NZRA Rules the Council meets at least three times a year in Wellington. Meetings are also conducted by teleconference or Skype as required throughout the year.

Each of the Regional Representatives co-ordinates regular meetings in their own parts of the country, often inviting guest speakers to address the local members.
